Your journey begins with a breathtaking flight crossing the Himalayan Mountains, offering spectacular views of iconic peaks such as Jumolhari and Jichu Drake. If arriving via Kathmandu, you might catch glimpses of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga.
Upon landing in Paro, our representative from Bhutan Travel Center will warmly welcome you. In the afternoon, explore the historic Paro Dzong, built in 1646 and now housing government offices and religious institutions. Continue your cultural immersion at the National Museum, formerly a watchtower, showcasing a rich collection of fine arts, paintings, thangkas, statues, and antiques. Visit the oldest temple in Bhutan, Kichu Lhakhang, and later proceed to the unique capital city, Thimphu. Experience the charm of Thimphu, a city without traffic lights, where a policeman directs traffic with hand motions. Overnight in Thimphu.

Embark on a morning visit to Tashichhodzong, the main secretariat building and the summer residence of Je Khenpo, the Chief Abbot. Explore Bhutan’s National Library, the Indigenous Hospital, and the Art School. In the afternoon, visit the Memorial Chorten, a landmark erected in 1974.
Discover the rich cultural heritage with visits to Handicrafts Emporium, showcasing hand-woven products, and the Textile and Folk Heritage Museum. Drive to Punakha, situated at 10,500 feet, and overnight at a hotel in Punakha.

Begin your day with a scenic drive to Yabesa village, followed by a hike to Khamsum Yueley Namgyal Chorten, built by Queen Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuk. Enjoy a picnic by the riverside before exploring Wangduephodrang Dzong, a strategic fortress built in 1639.
Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of the Divine Madman, and Punakha Dzong, the “Palace of Great Happiness” built-in 1637. Drive back to Paro via Dochula pass, with a short walk and visits to other sights in Punakha Valley. Overnight in Paro.

Embark on a hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, perched 900 meters above the valley floor. The trail offers stunning views, and the monastery holds significance as the place where Guru Rimpoche introduced Buddhism to Bhutan. In the afternoon, visit the reconstructed Drukgyel Dzong and explore Paro, including the Ta Dzong Museum and Rimpung Dzong. Overnight in Paro.
